How to make Veg Manchurian


Welcome to my kitchen, today we will make Vegetable Manchurian.
vegetable Manchurian is an easy Chinese recipe. or you can say A super delicious Indo-Chinese dish. which is made with deep-fried veggie balls in Manchurian gravy.

Manchurian recipe tastes best when served with Fried Rice, Pan Fried.
Vegetable Manchurian is one of the easiest recipes that can be prepared very quickly when you want to eat. or you can make it for the party also. so let's see which ingredients we need.



Ingredients for vegetable balls

  • ¼ cup carrot, grated
  • 1tsp soy sauce
  • ¼ cup cabbage, grated
  • 1tsp chili sauce
  • ¼ cup spring onion greens, chopped
  • 2 tbsp Maida/ plain flour
  • ¼ tsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 2tbsp cornflour
  • ¼ tsp black pepper, crushed
  • Oil for deep frying


First, we will make vegetable balls. let's go and see how to make a vegetable ball for Manchurian

Making method of Vegetable Ball

Step 1:- In a large bowl put the grated carrot, cabbage, and spring onion greens.

Step 2:- Put a tsp of soy sauce.

Step 3:- Also add chili sauce, ginger garlic paste, and crushed black pepper. we are not adding any salt. because soy sauce is already salty. so we are not adding salt.

Step 4:- Now add Maida and cornflour.

Step 5:- Make a nice thick dough without adding any extra water.
water present in veggies is enough to make a thick dough.

Step 6:- Now make small balls and keep aside.

Step 7:- Heat oil in a pan deep fry the balls on medium flame.

Step 8:- Stir in between and fry till they turn golden brown.

Step 9:- Drain off the veg balls over a tissue paper to remove excess oil.

Now we will Make Gravy of Manchurian

Ingredients for gravy of Manchurian

  • 1tbsp oil
  • ½ tsp ginger, finely chopped
  • ½ tsp garlic, finely chopped
  • 1 spring onion, finely chopped
  • ¼ capsicum, cut in a cubed
  • 1to2 tsp chili sauce, or green chili according to your spice level and your test.
  • 2to3 tsp soy sauce, according to your taste
  • 2to3 tsp Ketchup
  • vinegar(optional)
  • 1 cup of water
  • ¼ tsp black pepper, crushed
  • salt according to taste


Making method of gravy for Manchurian

Step 1:- In a large pan, heat a tbsp of oil.

Step 2:- Put finely chopped ginger and garlic and green chili. roast for a while.

Step 3:- then put spring onions and continue to saute for a minute.

Step 4:- After 1-2 min, add capsicum and fry 2-5 min.

Step 5:- Now add, ketchup, chilly sauce, soya sauce, and vinegar.

Step 6:- Mix them well and add a mixture of cornflour plus water to the pan. (For prepare corn starch mix 2 tsp of cornflour with ¼ cup of water.)

Step 7:- You can put water first, get to a boil and then after putting corn starch.

Step 8:- Check for taste, and if you prefer more spice taste then add more soy sauce.

Step 9:- Now add pepper and salt to taste. remember, soy sauce does contain salt so be careful while adding. give a mix.

Step 10:- Mix thoroughly and put the fried vegetable balls into the mixture

Step 11:- Properly mix the balls along with the sauce.

Your Manchurian is ready for  serving bowl now garnish with chopped spring green onions.

Enjoy eating with veg fried rice.
