kitchen, today we will make Kadai Paneer
Kadai Paneer is a popular paneer recipe. It is one
of the most popular paneer recipes. You can see on the menu in almost all
Indian restaurants. kadai paneer is a semi-dry curry made with cottage cheese,
capsicum and with onion tomato gravy. If you want to make more Gravy,
increase tomato quantity by 1 and double the cream and water. so
let's go and see which ingredients to need to make Kadai Paneer
Ingredients
for Kadai Paneer
- 3 tbsp Coriander seeds
- 5 Dry red chili
- 3 tbsp Oil
- 2-3 Clove
- 2 Black cardamom
- 5-6 Black peppercorns
- 1 inch Cinnamon stick
- 1/2 cup Onion Finely chopped
- 1 medium size onion cut in cube
- 2 Green chili Slit into half
- 2 tsp Ginger Garlic paste
- 1/2 cup Tomato Finely chopped
- 1/4 cup Tomato Puree
- Salt to taste
- 1 tsp Kashmiri red chili powder
- 1 tsp Garam masala powder
- 1 cup Green capsicum Cut into cubes
- 250 g Paneer Cut into cubes
- 1 tbsp Ghee
- 1 tbsp curd
- 1 tbsp Cream
- 6to7 cashews
- ¼ Kasuri Methi
Kadai
Masala is usually made of coriander seeds, dry red chilis, cloves, fennel seeds, and few other spices. these are dry roasted to bring out the aroma and then ground
to a slightly coarse powder.

Step 1:- Heat
the Kadai and dry roast coriander seeds and 2-3 dry red chilies till slightly
browned when becoming a nice aroma starts to come. then off the gas flame. Grind
to in a slightly coarse powder.
Step 2:-
Now
add 1tbsp oil on the Kadai and First fry the capsicum and onion cubes, and keep aside.
Step 3:-
On the same Kadai again heat 1 tbsp oil. When the oil is
hot, add 1 dry red chilies, 2-3 cloves, 1 black cardamom, 5-6 black peppercorns, and 1 cinnamon stick.
Step 4:-
Now
Add chopped onion along with 6to7 split cashews, and cook until they turn
lightly golden.
Step 5:-
Now add 1 cup chopped tomato and cook on medium heat until tomatoes turn mushy and soft.
Step 6:-
Now add the cooled onion tomatoes to a
mixer jar. and blend it to smooth paste without adding water.
Step 7:- On the same Kadai again heat 2 tbsp oil and add ginger
garlic paste, cook until its raw smell goes away.
Step 8:-Now add onion-tomato puree fry for 2-3 minutes.
Step 9:-Now add the 2 tbsp coriander powder, 1tbsp ground masala
powder, 1tsp Kashmiri red chili powder, and 1tsp garam masala powder.
Step10:-Fry the masala over low heat until it starts to release
the oil. Stir the spice continuously.
Step11:- For a better taste
in this stage, you can add 1tbsp curd, and 1tbsp cream and crushed Kasuri methi
(it is optional).
Step12:-Now add a half cup of water and cook for 2-3 minutes.
Step13:-Add capsicum, onion and paneer and cook for 2-3 minutes.
Add some more water if the gravy is too thick.
Now your Kadai Paneer is ready to serve. you can
serve it with phulke, naan or laccha
paratha
